Tax Credits and Refunds
Volunteers prepare tax returns to help low and moderate income households access the valuable Earned
Income Tax Credit and other important credits.  Volunteers are trained and certified by the IRS.  Oakdale
Neighbors is part of the
Kent County Tax Credit Coalition.

Interested in being a tax preparation volunteer?  Training, materials, and support are provided.

    New volunteers become IRS certified by participating in a 20-hour class over five consecutive evenings.
    Call for information.

    Returning volunteers can become certified by passing the Link and Learn test online.  The Volunteer
    Assistor's Test/Retest (Form 6744) (17 MB) can be used to prepare for the online test.
