LAMP POST

Community Engagement and Resources

Lamp Post is a variety of Community Resources developed to Enhance and Promote Community Growth;  bringing together diverse groups of people who are working for the same cause. Lamp Post provides an open forum where the community has a platform to talk and learn with others they may not have met otherwise; both professionally and socially. Lamp Post operates with one goal in mind; to become a better neighbor.

FINANCIAL
LITERACY

Financial literacy is the ability to make informed judgments and to make effective decisions regarding the use and management of money.

Our Goal is to provide the necessary training, skill sets and knowledge that allow people to make informed and effective decisions with all of their financial resources.

Financially literate people help create stable communities.

Financial education also provides the tools needed for independence—whether that be in the workforce or college, first time home buyers, paying down debt or saving for retirement .

Community Safety
Meetings

Community safety is about feeling safe, whether at home, in the street or at work. It is defined as "promoting the concept of community based action to inhibit and remedy the causes and consequences of criminal, intimidating and other related anti-social behavior."  We work with our local Grand Rapids Police Department and Community officer to keep our neighbors informed. The meetings provided helpful resources, safety tips regarding personal safety, property protection, and crime reporting for a safer community. Refreshments are served, Please RSVP

Meetings Are Every 3rd Wednesday of the month
