As we approach the end of the school year and the start of summer activities, the Grand Rapids Police Department asks that young people and parents be aware of the City's curfew ordinance and the hours that young people can be out in public unsupervised.
City of Grand Rapids Curfew Ordinance:
Children 11 years and under MUST be in by 10:00 p.m.
Children 12, 13, and 14 MUST be in by 11:00 p.m.
Children 15 and 16 MUST be in by 12:00 a.m. (midnight).
The curfew ordinance does not apply when a minor is accompanied by a parent or guardian. Adults designated by the parent or guardian may also be with the child.
