City urges fireworks safety ahead of Memorial Day

With Memorial Day weekend approaching, the City of Grand Rapids is reminding community members to handle fireworks safely. The Grand Rapids Fire Department says fireworks can be dangerous to people, pets and property, especially in crowded neighborhoods or areas with dry grass or brush.
