GRFD urges building owners and residents to clear entrances, exits and fire hydrants to improve emergency response

The City of Grand Rapids Fire Department (GRFD) is urging building owners and residents to keep pathways free of snow and ice to help protect lives. Doing so helps first responders access their work quickly and effectively. Residents are asked to clear both the front and back entrances to their homes and clear a three‑foot radius around any fire hydrants near their homes.
