You Are Invited! 2025 Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony May 25, 2026

The City of Grand Rapids and the United Veterans Council of Kent County will host the 2025 Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on the morning of Monday, May 25, 2026. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Lyon Street NW and Ottawa Avenue NW. It will move toward Monroe Avenue NW, turn onto Monroe Center Street NW, continue southeast to Division Avenue N, then head east on Fulton Street E before entering Veterans Memorial Park via East Park Place NE.

The parade will feature groups such as the American Legion, VFW, Amvets posts and others. The Grand Rapids Police Department Honor Guard will lead the procession. After the parade, a ceremony will take place at Veterans Memorial Park. It will honor the Veteran of the Year, recognize Gold Star Mothers and include a keynote speaker. The event will close with the playing of taps and a three-round volley.

Each year, men and women step forward to serve our nation. Some give their lives in that service. Memorial Day is our time to pause, reflect and pay tribute to their sacrifice.

We hope you will stand with us as we remember and honor our fallen heroes
