Registration is now open for the City’s free summer day camps, offering kids ages 6 to 12 an engaging mix of outdoor activities, arts and crafts, STEM projects, reading, games and field trips. Camps run Monday through Friday in three sessions from June 15 to August 14 at Garfield Park, MLK Park and Roosevelt Park, with free lunch and snacks provided daily. Residents can participate at no cost, while non-residents may register for $30 per week. Families may choose one camp location and must register separately for each session. These programs are designed to give children a safe, positive and active summer experience.
Registration is available online or by phone, and the Parks and Recreation Department is also hiring camp counselors ages 14 and older to help lead activities throughout the season.
