City’s first Spanish-language CERT class builds community preparedness – La primera clase CERT en español de la Ciudad fortalece la preparación comunitaria

The City of Grand Rapids successfully hosted its first-ever Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Level 1 training conducted entirely in Spanish, last evening, Thursday, April 9. The three‑hour course, held at Iglesia Cambiando Vidas Sedientas at 12 Burton St. SW, brought together Spanish‑speaking residents from across the city for hands-on instruction in emergency response and disaster preparedness.

La Ciudad de Grand Rapids llevó a cabo con éxito su primera capacitación del Equipo Comunitario de Respuesta a Emergencias (CERT) Nivel 1 realizada completamente en español, la tarde de ayer, jueves 9 de abril. El curso de tres horas, realizado en la Iglesia Cambiando Vidas Sedientas, ubicada en 12 Burton St. SW, reunió a residentes hispanohablantes de toda la ciudad para recibir instrucción práctica en respuesta a emergencias y preparación ante desastres.
