STAY WARM STAY SAFE

As extreme cold approaches this weekend, the City of Grand Rapids is encouraging you to take steps to stay safe and warm. Warming centers, including the Grand Rapids Public Library during regular hours, are available for those without adequate heat. You should also take steps to protect pipes from freezing, use heating devices safely to prevent fires, bring pets indoors, and dress appropriately to avoid frostbite and hypothermia. Additional tips include winter driving precautions and signing up for local emergency alerts at grandrapidsmi.gov/EmergencyAlerts.
